With the Iraqi farmer, from field to market

The programme toured the orchards of Rashidiya, north of Baghdad, as the date harvest began, and checked the prices of Zahdi, Khastawi and Barhi dates at the Jamila wholesale market. It also showed rare archive footage of the palm-lined banks of the Tigris and the sailing boats that carried the crop to market a century ago.
