The season's first rains expose bottlenecks in the drainage network in Basra's neighbourhoods
Yasser Al-Amiri covered the season's first showers in Basra and the standing water they left in the Jumhuriya and Hayaniya neighbourhoods, and relayed the sewerage directorate's response to residents' complaints. The episode also includes a report from Nineveh on the start of the olive harvest in Bashiqa, and another from Baghdad on a campaign to clean up the banks of the Tigris.
