Daily field programme
From markets and neighbourhoods to officials' desks, live on air

“Street Pulse” toured the Jumhuriya, Hayaniya and Khamsa Mil neighbourhoods, whose streets flooded last winter, and found storm drains clogged with rubbish and pumping stations running at half capacity. In a call on air, the head of Basra's sewerage directorate pledged to finish clearing the main lines before mid-November.
About the programme
A daily field programme that takes citizens' concerns and demands from markets and neighbourhoods straight to officials.
Since its first season in 2016, “Street Pulse” has left the studio for the street every evening: an open camera in a market, a neighbourhood or a public-service office, people's questions just as they ask them, then a live call to the authority responsible so it can answer on air. The programme follows up on officials' promises in later episodes and shows how much has been delivered on electricity, water, roads and housing.
